Please see the attached article requiring mediation of all civil cases prior to court hearing in Judge Robert Aylsworth's Warrick County court (Booneville, IN). Judge Aylsworth is one of the judges on the Indiana Judicial Administration Domestic Relations Committee... the folks who develop/review the child support and visitation guidelines. He's obviously putting the expert's recommendations of mediation into practice in his court! Indiana state law only requires that modifications to child support, visitation or custody be referred to mediation, not original actions. He's apparently making ALL civil filings, including the original actions, attempt to mediate first. I see this as a very positive step and example to his peers!
